How Does A Laboratory Jaw Crusher Work
1. Material Loading: Samples (≤50 mm) are fed into the crushing chamber between a fixed jaw and a movable jaw, manually or via a funnel.
2. Compression Crushing: The movable jaw reciprocates (eccentric drive at 200–500 RPM), applying cyclic pressure to fracture particles against the fixed jaw.
3. Size Reduction: Particles are progressively crushed until small enough to pass the adjustable discharge gap (3–20mm), governed by the "nipping angle" (18°–22°).
4. Product Discharge: Crushed material falls freely by gravity, while dust is contained via sealed chambers or connected extraction systems.
