Raymond mill grinds non-metallic minerals (limestone, gypsum) into 80-325 mesh powders via roller compression and air classification. Ideal for producing fillers and industrial powders, it offers 1-50t/h capacity with 30-40% energy savings versus ball mills. Not suitable for hard (>7 Mohs) or sticky materials.

How Does A Raymond Mill Work

1.Material Feeding: Crushed raw materials (≤30mm) enter the grinding chamber via a screw conveyor, falling between rotating rollers and the grinding ring.

2. Roller Grinding: Spring-loaded rollers compress and shear materials against the rotating ring, breaking particles into finer powders through mechanical force.

3. Air Classification: A blower circulates airflow, lifting ground powder to the analyzer wheel where oversized particles are rejected back for regrinding.

4. Product Collection: Fine powder (80-325 mesh) passes the analyzer into a cyclone collector, while coarse particles repeat the grinding cycle.
