Spiral Classifier
Capacity: 5-500TPH
Feeding Size: ≤5mm
Discharging Size: 0.01-2mm
Handling Materials: Iron ore, copper ore, gold ore, quartz, feldspar, etc.
Spiral classifier divides wet ground ores (0.1–5 mm) into coarse sands (0.2–2 mm) and fine slurries (0.01–0.2 mm) via rotating spirals and sedimentation. Ideal for mineral processing circuits, it handles 5–500 t/h with 70–85% efficiency. Low-energy design suits continuous closed-loop grinding systems but avoids sticky clay.
Advantages

01.
High Efficiency
Achieves 70-85% classification accuracy for 0.1-5mm ores via adjustable spiral speed (3-10 RPM) and sedimentation control.

02.
Low Energy
using gravity and mechanical lifting for sand-slurry separation, reduce energy consumption by 20-30%.

03.
Robust Structure
Wear-resistant steel spirals handle abrasive minerals (iron ore) with 3-5x longer lifespan than polymer-lined alternatives.

04.
Easy Control
Real-time adjustments to spiral speed, tank angle (12°-18°), and water input optimize grading for varying ore densities.
How Does A Spiral Classifier Work?
1. Slurry Feeding: Ore pulp (20-40% solids) enters the inclined tank, where heavier particles (0.2-5 mm) settle rapidly due to gravity.
2. Mechanical Separation: Rotating spiral blades (3-10 RPM) lift settled coarse sands upward along the tank bottom for discharge as "underflow" (returned to grinding).
3. Hydraulic Classification: Finer particles (0.01-0.2mm) remain suspended, carried by water flow to overflow weirs as "overflow" (to next processing stage).
4. Density Control: Adjustable tank angle (12°-18°) and spiral speed optimize separation precision for different mineral densities (iron vs quartz).
