Background

An Australian client, Mr. Previn, he is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia and is a large iron ore miner. Faced with increasingly strict environmental regulations, water scarcity, and the challenge of tailings pond capacity approaching its limit, they consulted us for sand washing and dewatering solutions aimed at achieving the resource utilization and dry pile treatment of traditional tailings.

Solutions

The entire iron ore tailings cleaning and dewatering line is a continuous closed-loop system that integrates mechanical cleaning, hydraulic classification, solid-liquid separation, and water circulation. The iron ore tailings are transported by a vibrating feeder to a screw washer, where they are effectively stripped of clay and impurities through the strong friction and rolling of rotating screw blades and high-pressure water spraying inside the machine; The cleaned material is transported to a high-frequency dewatering screen for secondary vibration dewatering, producing clean finished sand with a moisture content of less than 15%; And the mud containing wastewater enters the fine material recovery system through the overflow port of the screw washer, and the fine sand is recovered through the cyclone.
